How it works (security & access)
We designed the API using modern, secure standards to ensure a smooth developer integration.
Industry-standard security:
- Secure token management: access is granted via tokens issued by our dedicated authentication service.
- Controlled access: API access and management (token generation) are strictly reserved for Admin and Owner roles on your Onoff Business account.
The API is a premium feature available only to users on the Max plan.
If you are on the Connect or Advanced plans, you will see the API card but will need to upgrade to the Max plan to access its full capabilities.
Beyond the API: Webhooks
For event-driven updates (e.g. when a call is logged), leverage our Webhooks.
They send instant notifications from Onoff Business to your systems—perfect for real-time analytics, tracking, and as a direct complement to the API’s provisioning capabilities.
