“Without a professional number, it’s a mess”: why Diligo opted for Onoff Business Cloud numbers

← Blog “Sans numéro pro, c’est le bazar” : pourquoi Diligo a opté pour les Cloud Numbers d’Onoff Business What are the digital tools that help startups save time, avoid losing data and automate their processes? One of them is Onoff Business, a perfect solution for assigning a professional number to your employees. Advantages: no more loss of information when employees leave and no more time wasted on buying a second phone or a pro package. Testimony of François Mayaud, founder of Diligo. “I stay in control of my business number in the cloud” François Mayaud, founder of Diligo” Please introduce yourself I am François Mayaud, an entrepreneur in environmentally responsible projects. I have created two companies: Les Empotés for the delivery of zero-waste meal trays and today Diligo, a cargo bike delivery service. For Les Empotés, we manage the delivery and return of the containers. So we needed a clean, reliable, and above all economical means of delivery. That’s how Diligo was born. In 5 months, we already have 70 corporate clients. Why did you need the pro numbers provided by Onoff Business? As an entrepreneur, I’m always looking for the best tools, those that will allow me to scale up, automate processes as much as possible and empower my employees. I use solutions like Qonto, Stripe, Pennylane, Hubspot. The most important thing for me is that no one should be irreplaceable: even if I die tomorrow, the company should be able to continue. When employees use their personal number for work and leave the company, it’s a mess. I needed to be able to assign a professional number easily: I chose Onoff Business for all my employees. How do you use Onoff Business? Our customers are florists, caterers, food tech startups, beer producers and painting or upholstery companies. Regarding customer service in the field, everything related to bike messaging and courier services, we need to be reactive. So to manage our customer support, we use Whatsapp for Business accounts. It’s fast and customers are already using them. This means that each of my employees has to have a cell phone number to create a Whatsapp account. With Onoff Business, each of us has a business number, which we use for our Whatsapp for Business account, and we keep our personal number for the personal Whatsapp. This way, I stay in control of the professional number: I can transfer the Whatsapp for Business account and the calls if an employee is absent or leaves the company. For a price of 9€ / month you might think it’s expensive but it really allows you to be well organized. What are the advantages of Onoff Business for a startup like Diligo? Onoff Business is very easy to use, it’s really great. We were able to set it up during the lockdown, completely remotely. And it avoids having two phones, one business and one personal, which is really time consuming and cumbersome. What is Diligo? Launched in 2020, the young and dynamic Diligo team is bringing the cargo bike back into fashion. Specialized in cyclo-logistics, they make deliveries with these bikes equipped with a trunk to carry loads. Their customers, merchants, caterers, restaurant owners, beer brewers, use their service for their deliveries. The advantages: a delivery on time, because the bicycles avoid the traffic jams in which the trucks get stuck. And fast delivery. The bikes can take up to 100kg of goods and as they are electric, they are fast and maneuverable. And of course, it’s an ecological and economical transport. By pooling the orders, the startup manages to offer better prices to its customers. The success The startup has a lot of ambition and would like to replace trucks in the city with cargo bikes. Because trucks today represent 30% of the car congestion. The objective is not to develop a model like Uber, but to recruit a certain number of employees, because the cargo bike offers margins that allow to ensure the hiring of staff and therefore a quality of customer care. In a few months, they have already made more than 2000 deliveries. They are now recruiting delivery drivers and have more than 70 client companies. Why Onoff Business has developed a solution for business numbers in the Cloud Onoff Business, dematerialized corporate telephony I created Onoff from a simple observation: everything is in the cloud (our emails, music, files, movies, etc.) except our mobile number which is still stuck in a SIM card,” says Taïg Khris, founder of Onoff Telecom and Onoff Business. But thanks to the cloud, we can find our emails, our music, our photos from any computer or phone, and we benefit from a backup of our content. I wanted our mobile numbers to be just as flexible, so I came up with Cloud Numbers.” Developed for home users, we soon realized that Cloud Numbers were very useful for businesses. For two important reasons.    Simplify logistics with pro numbers in the cloud. Assigning a business number to employees can be a real headache, and very expensive. Buying a cell phone for each employee and a plan means committing cash and spending time administering it all. How can you avoid having to buy multiple mobile plans and laptops? With a dematerialized solution. We have therefore designed an offer for companies, Onoff Business, which includes an application allowing you to simply have one (or several) pro numbers on your phone. And an online administration interface from which entrepreneurs can quickly create a whole fleet of mobile numbers, allocate them and change the beneficiary, easily. (also read: Dematerialization, 7 solutions for your business). Back up important company data One of the most important working tools is now the cell phone, whether for sales, customer support or marketing contacts. Losing the contacts stored on an employee’s phone, due to loss, theft or departure, represents a real loss of earnings for the company. All entrepreneurs know that data is now part of the assets of a business.

“With Onoff and its cloud solution, it takes 20s to assign a pro number to an employee”

← Blog “With Onoff and its cloud solution, it takes 20s to assign a pro number to an employee” Switching to a cloud-based business number is one of the solutions designed to facilitate teleworking. In any case, it is one of those adopted by Pixalione, a marketing agency. Amaury Demongeot, the agency’s CEO, talks about how he uses Onoff. How the Pixalione agency uses Onoff’s cloud-based business numbers Can you briefly introduce yourself and your company? My name is Amaury Demongeot, I am the Managing Partner of Pixalione, an agency specialized in SEO, SEA and Data Analytics. Our main distinctive feature is that we are both an agency and a software publisher. Our consultants, each one of them being experts in his/her field (SEO, SEA or Data Analytics), are working with our clients to meet their needs and reach their goals. Our software suite benefits from our research laboratory staffed with research engineers and doctors of science. This tool, with no equivalent on the market, is based on sixty or so algorithms (all patented). It allows us to obtain very rational (scientific) and concrete recommendations to boost the qualified traffic of an Internet website. The gains are significant, between +25 and +300% per year. Among our clients, many are CAC 40 companies, e-commerce websites and small and medium-sized businesses. We have been around for 13 years and we are now based in Paris, Lyon, London, Madrid and Bangkok. As far as we know, we own the largest private research laboratory dedicated to search marketing in France. Since the beginning, we have also collaborated with research laboratories such as École Centrale Paris, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique de Valencia, ENPC, with whom we work on natural language processing, auction and game theory, and operational research (a research field involving Artificial Intelligence and other methods to seek the best solution to a problem).  Why did you initially look for a solution like Onoff? Teleworking is what forced us to find new tools to work remotely. During December 2019 strikes, we had already adopted Zoom for video conferencing, which is great but clients couldn’t call us when they wanted to. We have 70+ people spread across our different offices: integrating Zoom allows us to do our team meetings. But we also needed a solution for those times when our clients wanted to reach a consultant quickly. With the lockdown, no one was in the office and even though the landlines were redirected to our cell phones, when a consultant called a client back, he had to do it with his personal number. But some people didn’t want to share it. So we looked for a solution with professional numbers on smartphones. Why did you choose Onoff’s cloud-based professional numbers? With Onoff, it takes 20 seconds to assign a business number to an employee. Whereas with a traditional network provider, you need to request a new line and wait for the SIM card. With Onoff and its cloud solution, we save time, it is easy to set up and there is no time commitment. There are not too many administrative steps and now about thirty employees use their Onoff professional number. What are the benefits you get from Onoff’s cloud-based professional numbers? The consultants turn on the application during working hours: they are not disturbed by customers when they are not working. On their side, customers can easily reach us. Thanks to the professional mobile number, employees can be reached even if they are on the road for an appointment or working from home. No need to think about redirecting the landline to the right mobile. And there’s less administration to deal with. When the work day is over, we can switch the number off and simply use our personal number. Being able to cut out work, especially when you do it from home, is important. Have you recommended Onoff to other people? Yes, because Onoff has been successfully adopted internally. And when you see what a drag it is to manage computer fleets, it’s just as complex for cell phones. With Onoff, all you need is an email address to assign a professional number and, on the employee side, you just have to download the application. With Onoff, from the online interface, you know which number is active and which is not. We even talked about it during a conference organized by EBG, the digital innovation club, and I noticed that some major groups were interested in this system. After lockdown, we decided to stick with Onoff because we don’t yet know what tomorrow will look like. And Onoff is a mobile solution, the cost is not very high and does not require any administrative steps. Do you think that both the crisis and the lockdown will change your working practices? We have managed to work differently but, as a digital agency, we are lucky, we can easily switch to teleworking. However, we are working on a 3-day on-site rotation and 2 days of teleworking. But even with tools like Zoom and Onoff, it’s important to meet up face to face in order to build team cohesion and work on big projects. Otherwise, with the lockdown and then the vacations, some employees would have gone 5 months without seeing each other. If you don’t have any type of social interactions, things can go wrong. My employees should think about calling each other more often with Onoff. At Onoff, we want to help companies to work remotely. We developed a professional number for business owners based on the following criteria: Allocate and assign numbers in a few clicks Reduce telecom bills, and no longer manage the purchase of terminals Save time, eliminate administrative procedures Protect your data and keep the ownership of your numbers, contacts and communications   We developed a professional number for team members based on the following criteria: One phone, no need to use and manage two devices Choose or keep your favorite phone, regardless of your company Manage your personal business

“It took me 10 minutes to set up professional number using Onoff Business”

← Blog “It took me 10 minutes to set up professional numbers using Onoff Business.” Alexis Jacquier, Director of the Mission locale de Chablais How to set up a professional line for your team members in record time, when the lockdown has just been announced? The Mission locale jeunes du Chablais, supporting teenagers and young adults who dropped out of the school system in order to help them along their career path, needed to keep in touch with its users even in these troubled times. By using Onoff Business to obtain a professional number, they managed to act fast and save money, in order to pursue their main purpose. Since then, they have kept this solution, allowing them to maintain a dematerialized communication in addition to face-to-face interactions. What was your need when you first introduced Onoff Business numbers for Mission locale de Chablais employees? Alexis Jacquier, director of the Mission Locale du Chablais: When the lockdown was announced in mid-March, it was essential for us to pursue our public service mission and maintain a relationship with our users. We had to close the physical reception, but there was no question of closing the structure. We asked ourselves how we could maintain the link with our employees and users from a distance. Equipping ourselves with professional numbers seemed to be the obvious answer. From then on, Onoff Business was the ideal solution: there is no need to buy a cell phone for each employee, and the implementation via an application is very simple. A colleague in Annecy told me about the solution. After a quick search on the Internet, I realized that it was a good option. And then I spoke to Patrick Srougi on the phone, who promptly answered my questions and tried to understand our needs. When things get tricky, like this unprecedented lockdown, you immediately need to find the right solutions and the right people to talk to. What is the purpose of a local mission? We work alongside Pôle emploi as part of the public employment service. Our job is to welcome young people aged 16 to 25, who have left the school system, to help them build their professional or social future through collective or individual support. Our national network welcomes more than 1 million young people each year, qualified or not, through the 437 local missions in France, including 4 in the 74. In Chablais, we are covering about 136,000 inhabitants living in Thonon-les-Bains and Evian-les-Bains. I am the structure’s director and we have 19 employees. We receive 1700 users each year and my role is to implement, with the team, the public policies of employment and training. I am also responsible for HRM activities and piloting projects, and I represent our organisation before various authorities. Was it easy for your teams to adopt the Onoff Business mobile numbers? The application was immediately well received by our team members: in fact, it was so obvious that we didn’t even think about it. Because technically, it’s very easy to use, even though the teams’ digital skills are very different. Personally, it took me 10 minutes to set up the Onoff Business numbers. I logged in, created the local mission space. Initially, I needed 8 lines and created them one after the other. Then I called every single employee in order to check them out and within a few minutes we were able to use our professional numbers. Why did you choose to keep Onoff Business’ professional mobile numbers after the end of lockdown? We were in the middle of thinking about how to do something dematerialized with the youth. The lockdown pushed us into action. Even though our DNA is reception, and we prefer physical contact allowing us to go further in the needs understanding and also to offer collective actions, being able to propose a remote link is a complementary element that matters a lot. This allows us to keep in touch with a simple phone call or SMS reminder. The service has found its place in the relationship we have with our users and each employee adapts its use according to his or her own needs. And since the cost is low (€10 per line per month compared to the added value), there was no question of cutting. Moreover, I am very satisfied with the relationship with Onoff Business. When you are lost on some platforms, you can be annoyed. This was not the case with Onoff Business: every time I needed help, someone was there to advise me. Would you recommend Onoff Business to other Local Missions? I would recommend this tool to other Local Missions and also to other professionals. Even if they already have a business line. With portability, I was able to change my business number and go to Onoff Business. They are the ones who managed the repatriation: 30 € of savings. That counts: I am also responsible for the proper management of the public funds.  Do you find the adoption of new digital tools complex? I don’t see any resistance, but it requires training. This is true both for our employees and for the young users we are supporting. They know how to use social networks, but some of them don’t necessarily know how to use IT tools in a professional environment. They also struggle with trying to understand the relevance of their digital identity and to make a distinction between what belongs to their private life and their professional life. They do not always identify what is publicly visible online. This separation between professional and personal life is crucial. This is also why a solution like Onoff Business is extremely important.
